A one day Exhibition-cum-sale was organized here today in Gondia Public School’s new branch recently opened at Avantibai Square, Ring Road, Gondia.It brought into highlight the veiled talents of the students of the school. VasundharaDiwas was celebrated on 24th April 2018 at Gondia Public School, Gondia in the school premises. It was a great day to showcase environmental education, highlight efforts to green the school and engage the whole student community in making a difference. The occasion was graced by Mr. Kumbhalkar, Cultivation Officer, Mr.AshwinThakkar, Retired D.F.O., Miss. Swati Dumre, R.F.O. along with Mr. Mahesh Gaur, incharge of secondary section and Mrs. VarshaBhandarkar, incharge of pre-primary section. The programme began by lighting the traditional lamp and garlanding the portrait of deviSaraswati.
The students presented a wonderful skit, spreading the message of save earth, preserve water and electricity. Prizes were distributed to the students for their spellbound drawings based on the topic “Save Earth”. On this occasion Mr. C.B.Patle said, “This kind of celebration offers opportunities to both teach about the issue and make a tangible environmental impact. The efforts of the team were highly appreciated by Prof. ArjunBudhe Sir, President, Dr. Indira Sapate, Secretary of D.B.M. Education Society. The programme was conducted by Mrs. Thakare , Mrs. Bhongade and vote of thanks was proposed by Miss. Choure. All the teaching and non-teaching staff strove hard for the success of the progrmme.
The Graduation Day was celebrated with lots of enthusiasm in Pre Primary Wing of Gondia Public School. The ceremonial lamp of knowledge was lighted by the distinguished chief guest Mr. Wahab Sports Officer, Gondia District. Principal Mrs. Eera Sharma welcomed the guest and parents. All the tiny graduates were awarded with the graduation certificates and graduation caps from the chief guest. It was a proud moment for the parents, teachers to witness the children gearing up to the primary section.
Gondia Public School run by DBM Education Society, Gondia recently organized an orientation programme for the parents of Pre-Primary section. The programme commenced with the lighting of traditional lamp and offering prayer to Goddess Saraswati. Mrs. Eva Sharma, the Principal along with the Pre-Primary incharge Mr. Shekhar Bindhani was prominently present on the occasion. Addressing the parents, Mrs. Eva Sharma, the Principal shared with them the various tips on good parenting. She also urged the parents to spend some time with their children at home daily. This not only helps to create a healthy relationship between child and his parents but also facilitates the overall development of a child’s personality. Parents were informed about the curriculum of day to day activities planned for the new session to be conducted in the school. A brief information and demonstration of different teaching aids used for effective teaching in classroom was presented by Miss. Shraddha Shrivastava & Miss. Shrishty Agrawal.
Dr. Indira Sapate, the Secretary of D.B.M. Education Society, conveyed her warm wishes to the parents present on the occasion. Mrs. Priya Kamaiyya conducted the proceedings of the programme while Mrs. Neeta Bisen proposed a vote of thanks.
A Plantation Programme was recently organised at Gondia Public School, Gondia run by DBM Education Society. The tiny-tots of pre-primary section enthusiastically participated in the plantation campaign under the guidance of their teachers. Mr. Ashvin Thakkar, the Ex. Conservative officer, was present as the Guest of honor while Mrs. Eva Sharma, the principal, Mr. Shekhar Bindhani and Mrs. Varsha Bhandarkar the pre-primary incharges were prominently present on the occasion.
Addressing the tiny-tots, Mr. Thakkar urged them to plant at least one sapling on their birthday. He also threw light on the importance of trees and other vegetation in nature. Dr. Indira Sapate, The Secretary of DBM Education Society, conveyed her warm wishes to all the participants present on the occasion and promised to carry out such programmes in future as well. The school staff strived hard for the success of the programme.
Teachers Day was celebrated with full zeal & enthusiasm in Gondia Public School. The Morning Assembly was conducted by the teachers. The day started with giving a tribute to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishanan by lighting the lamp followed by Teachers felicitation. The Students did all the preparation for the event. The students of X, XI & XII dressed like their teachers & taught their juniors. Acting as teachers they got a fair idea of the responsibility, so efficiently handled by their teachers. President Prof. Arjun Budhe, Secretary Dr. Indira Sapate conveyed their best wishes to all the teachers & showed their gratitude towards them for their hardwork & dedication.
In the end, Principal Mr. Jeetendra Talreja put more emphasis on moral & ethical values which he expected the students to follow & thanked them for organizing such a wonderful programme.
Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra State, Pune, District Sports Council and District Sports office Gondia jointly organised Inter School Gondia district Football competition at District Sports complex Gondia on September. Around 28 Schools took part in this competition. In the age group under 17 boys, GPS football team was declared the winning team defeating Jai Durga High School, Gournagar. GPS winning team is going to represent Gondia district in divisional competition to be held in Nagpur. Ma. Suyansh Chouhan, Ma. Suraj Mourya, Ma. Tanmay Shambhalkar, Ma. Aman Chapla, Ma. Himanshu Kore, Ma. Ekhnath Agrawal, Ma. Riddhesh Patankar, Ma. Ved Patle, Ma. Mrunal Dongre, Ma. Alwin Ramteke, Ma. Aditya Tripathi, Ma. Adnan Pathan, Ma. Harsh Kohad, Ma. Ujjwal Pandhare, Ma. Shreyash Lambat, Ma, Aniket Hardule were among who brought laurels to school. Mr. Arjun Budhe, President D.B.M. Education Society, Dr. Indira Sapate, Secretary D.B.M. Education Society, Mr. Jeetendra Talreja, Principal, Mr. C.B. Patle Manager, all teaching and non-teaching staff congratulated the students on their success. Students were guided and trained under the guidance of school Sports teachers Mr. Alok Rathour and Mr. Hiraman Budhe.
